Interacción entre los estilos de liderazgo empresarial y los ciclos de vida del emprendimiento organizacional

A pesar de su creciente importancia económica, el emprendimiento enfrenta altas tasas de fracaso; aquí, el liderazgo juega un rol potencialmente significativo. El presente estudio bibliométrico tiene el objetivo de mapear la producción científica sobre la relación entre los estilos de liderazgo y el ciclo del emprendimiento, para lo cual se empleó la metodología ProKnow-C, analizando un corpus inicial de 1.110 artículos, ubicados en las bases de datos Scopus y ProQuest; se utilizó VOSviewer y Bibliometrix para el análisis de co-ocurrencia de términos, tendencias temporales y productividad. Adicionalmente, se hizo un análisis sistemático de 17 estudios seleccionados para profundizar en los enfoques teóricos y hallazgos clave. Los resultados revelan un campo de investigación en crecimiento, con un aumento significativo de publicaciones desde 2017.
El liderazgo transformacional y el emprendedor son los estilos más estudiados, frecuentemente asociados a la innovación, el desempeño y las Pequeñas y Medianas Empresas (pymes). Temas emergentes incluyen al impacto de la pandemia COVID-19 y la digitalización. Aunque se identifica una asociación general entre liderazgo y emprendimiento, la investigación aborda explícitamente la evolución de liderazgos específicos a través de las distintas fases del ciclo emprendedor, que resulta limitada. Se concluye que el liderazgo, especialmente los estilos transformacional y emprendedor, influyen significativamente en el emprendimiento; sin embargo, esta relación es dinámica y parece variar según la etapa del ciclo emprendedor, el contexto organizacional y diversos factores mediadores y moderadores.
Se identifica la necesidad de investigar más a fondo, cómo los perfiles de liderazgo interactúan y evolucionan a lo largo de las transiciones críticas del ciclo de vida del emprendimiento.
